Introducing our eye-catching Blastomussa Corals! These beauties consist of fleshy solitary polyps that extend from an encrusting base. During the day, the polyps remain contracted, displaying a textured skeletal surface.

At night when feeding, the polyps expand revealing bright neon interiors in colors like fluorescent green, neon purple, and mystical blue. The contrast makes for an amazing display in tanks with day/night light cycles!

Blastomussa thrives under medium to high intensity LEDs with low to moderate flow. They prefer alkaline water around 8.2-8.4 pH with calcium maintained around 400-450 ppm. Perform 5% weekly water changes and test for alkalinity, magnesium, nitrates, and phosphates regularly.

Target levels are: carbonate alkalinity 8-12 dKH, magnesium 1300-1400 ppm, nitrates <20 ppm, phosphates <0.1 ppm. For feeding, target microplankton, brine shrimp, and small meaty foods.
